Our curriculum - like the core business of any thriving and dynamic community - is shaped by both the past and the future. Its roots grow deep into the soil of our traditions: the strength of our disciplines and our commitment to a broad liberal education. Our branches reach out to discover (and shape) what none of us have yet experienced: the world in which our students will soon find themselves. Over the past couple of years, we have worked to find words to describe these two aspects of a Canberra Grammar education. What are its essential elements? What might a boy expect to experience and learn by coming to our School? How should we shape our curriculum offerings? How might we more strongly connect the School's explicit educative purpose with what goes on in its classrooms? We found the words, and you can read them downloading the Curriculum Integrators.pdf. Our 7-10 curriculum is evolving. In 2001 the School began an extensive review of its 7-10 curriculum and significant changes are planned for 2007-2008. These changes will be explained in detail in the Headmaster’s and Head of Senior School’s blogs over the coming months. Key features of our new 7-10 curriculum will be:
