Oliver Forester, Hamish Wise and William Ryan represented Canberra Grammar with distinction at the UNIFEM International Women's Day luncheon held on Thursday at the Convention Centre. William was chosen to read the Prime Minister's Message to the 960 women (and several men) who gathered for the event.

Guest speakers were two eminent activists in peace-building processes in the Middle-East; from Palestine Ms Wafa' Abdel Rahman, and Ms Romy Shapira from Israel. Both women are members of the International Women's Commission (IWC) and are highly inspirational figures, deeply involved and committed to finding a peaceful solution to the Israel/Palestine conflict and to protecting the human rights of those involved, in particular for women and children.
