Lectures on HSC English texts |
On Friday November 17 eighty four Year 12 students travelled to Sydney with their teachers for full day of lectures on their HSC English texts.
Two key speakers were Don Watson and Peter Skzrynecki. Don Watson spoke on the motivation, content, values and agenda of speeches, with special attention to the speech "Funeral for an Unknown Soldier" and Peter Skzrynecki gave the boys a special insight into his poetry.
This was a valuable beginning to their HSC Year, helping them to see the scope and demands of the HSC English (Advanced) Course.
