Welcome to Canberra Grammar School Parents and Friends' Association.

SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY
The Parents and Friends' Association is an inclusive and convivial community of current and past parents and friends of Canberra Grammar School. Our aim is to bring all members of the School community into close friendship and cooperation for mutual benefit. We do this by:

> Involvement in a wide range of different interest groups and activities.
> Organising social events for the School community past and present.
> Raising funds to be applied for the purposes of the School.

We work together to experience the great satisfaction that comes from helping the School cherish its proud past, celebrate the present and secure the future.

ACTIVITIES FOR 2008
The P&F Association is active across the School. In addition, all areas of the School including the Junior School and the Southside and Northside campuses and the Boarder community conduct their own activities and these are very well supported by the Parent body.

The first activity for the year was the Welcome to New Parents Cocktail Party held on Wednesday 20 February, 2008.
The annual School Fete was held on Saturday 5 April, 2008. The P&F organised the Major Raffle.

The 2007 program was:
Welcome to New Parents Cocktail Party - 20 February.
A great way to make welcome all new parents and friends to the School. We enjoyed a splendid evening of making friends and connections in the beautiful Quadrangle.
Senior School Careers Night - 21 March. This was an evening where boys in Years 10-12 were provided with a selection of presentations on different careers. Presenters were drawn from our Parents and Friends' Community.
Annual Fete and Major Raffle - 31 March 2007. The focus of our year in terms of both fund-raising and friend-raising, the annual Fete is held in autumn each year. Again this year it was a splendid opportunity for everyone to become involved. Helpers of all descriptions are required beforehand and on the day. No offer of assistance is ever refused! The Fete is a great way for new parents to become involved early in the year and make new friends quickly.
Year 11 Interview Day - 24 May 2007. This was an opportunity for Year 11 boys to 'apply for a job, be interviewed and debriefed on their performances'. Interviewers were drawn from the Parents and Friends’ Community and local Canberra recruitment companies Athletics Carnival - 14 September .The P&F ran a BBQ for the boys at this event.
Year 12 Leavers Breakfast was held on the last day of Term 3. The P&F provided a breakfast for the Year 12 boys with Year 12 Parents providing the cooking skills.
Boarders Brunch. The P&F provided the food and drink for the Boarders to prepare themselves brunch.
Year 6 Leavers Breakfast Term 4. The P&F provided a breakfast for the Year 6 boys and their parents with Year 5 Parents providing the cooking skills.
