Junior School

The Junior School is located on the Red Hill campus and caters for boys in Years 3 to 6. The staff and resources are totally focused on the vitally important work of educating boys. This occurs in a structured, educationally rigorous and creative environment.

There is a focus on quality learning in literacy and numeracy. Additionally, the boys engage in Music, Physical Education, Human Society and the Environment, Science, French, Visual Arts, Religious and Values Education and Technology classes.

The approach to the academic curriculum accepts that knowledge is interdisciplinary. We strive to challenge each boy in every key learning area, not only with the content but also in challenging his thinking. Learning through technology plays an important role across the curriculum and there are many opportunities for boys to become fully functional in the digital environment which is such an important part of their world.

The boys participate in an extensive co-curricular program, which covers activities from traditional sports to cultural activities, from Taekwando to Chess! There is something for everyone.

An extensive outdoor and environmental education program engages all boys in challenging and exciting adventures supervised by qualified outdoor education staff. As well as learning new skills, friendships are nurtured and social interaction is guided.
