We want to continue to anticipate, plan and provide a first class education and wide range of opportunities for each Canberra Grammar student . To do so we must grow our financial flexibility and security.
Our aim is to provide the best possible teaching and happy learning environment for each of our students, now and for generations to come.
Fees and government funds are simply no longer adequate to the task; we must seek the help of our community.
Your gift will be most gratefully received and acknowledged according to your wishes.

A Bequest may take many forms including: The whole or portion of an estate; a specific sum of money
Real estate; shares and debentures insurance policies; works of arts; personal effects such as jewellery.
There are various options for including Canberra Grammar School in your will.
An Outright Bequest
Your bequest is an outright gift to the School or part of an estate.
A Residuary Bequest
This bequest provides the School with funds after other bequests and family interests have been granted. It can be the entire residual of the estate or a percentage if shared with others.
An Endowment Bequest
If you endow your bequest the School holds the funds permanently and uses only the investment income that is generated. Endowment is often used to establish Scholarships and means that your gift can continue to grow and benefit future generations of children.
Bequests are usually gifted to the School for use at its discretion but if you do wish to identify a specific purposes we suggest that you talk it over with us first to ensure we can meet your wishes and that your purpose fits in with our plans for the future of the School.

Foundation
The Foundation exists to support the School financially. Since it was established in 1979, the Foundation has made significant contributions towards the building of the South Science Block, the Boarders' Common Room, the Resource Centre and the International Centre. For many years it also supported staff professional development, visiting experts and provided scholarships and bursaries.
In 2003 the activities of the Foundation were transferred to the School and there has been little activity by the Foundation since that year. The funds transferred to the School in this reorganisation have been managed in line with their original trust documents. The Education Trust Fund monies are currently invested to support scholarships and prizes while the Building Trust Fund monies have been applied to support the building of the Performing Arts Centre, the Resource Centre and the Health and PE Centre. The Foundation continues to provide CGS with the flexibility and structure to meet current and possible future requirements.
