Canberra Grammar School celebrated outstanding success in the 2011 Higher School Certificate (HSC), having been positioned in the Top 100 performing schools for the second consecutive year.
Forty three percent of students earned a place on the Distinguished Achievers’ List for attaining more than 90% in at least one of their subjects. Nine students attained an ATAR of 98 or more and the student cohort gained 169 places on the NSW Higher School Certificate Honour Roll.
Canberra Grammar School has a proud record of success in State and National terms. Around 20% are ranked in the top 5 percentiles, that is, they gain a Universities Admission Index of 95+ and the great majority of students go on to tertiary study.
Our National Assessment Program — Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) results are outstanding; Canberra Grammar School recently achieved the highest numeracy scores of any school in the ACT in Year 5, 7 and 9 and came second in the ACT in the Year 3 tests. The School also topped the ACT in Year 5 reading and remains among the top schools for all other year groups.
