On Saturday and Sunday the Ist XI played its last match of the season against Daramalan. Grammar bowled first and applied early pressure with James Richardson claiming 2 early scalps. Sean Thomas and Tom Pilkinton then dismantled the Daramalan middle and lower order claiming 3 and 2 wickets respectively. Mention should be made of Alex Tridgells catch of the season at cover. Daramalan were eventually dismissed for 61. Grammar began well and after lunch attempted to establish a good lead. Elliot Geddes with 48, Angus Pfahl 39 and Tom Laudenbach 53 all made valuable contributions allowing Grammar to declare at 6 for 214. Daramalan batted much better in their second innings scoring 232 with Ryan Goodman and James Richardson each cliaming 3 wickets. Grammar required 80 runs to win and knocked off the winning runs for the loss of only 1 wicket. Angus Pfahl and Elliot Geddes remained unbeaten on 24 and 46 runs respectively. This gave Grammar outright victory and third place in the 2007/08 ASC cricket competition.
