We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Nathan Boller as Canberra Grammar School’s next Head of Primary School, commencing Semester 2, 2026.

Nathan is currently Headmaster of Thomas’s London Day School, Clapham, and Chief Education Officer for the Thomas’s group of London schools. A Canberra native and graduate of the University of Canberra, he brings extensive experience from senior leadership roles at Thomas’s and Melbourne Grammar School, as well as a deep passion for holistic education, sport, the arts, and outdoor pursuits.

Between Dr Sandra Webster’s retirement at the end of this year and Nathan’s arrival, we are delighted that Mrs Lucy Garven, our current Deputy Head of Primary, will serve as Interim Head of Primary School in Semester 1, 2026.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr Webster for her outstanding leadership over the past five years and look forward to celebrating her remarkable contribution to CGS at the end of the year.

We were enthralled by the hot-button discussion concerning the replacement of school teachers with A.I. as part of our annual Year 12 v Staff debate. While the students argued against the notion, staff were tasked with creating a compelling reason for their replacement, and perhaps breathed a sigh of relief when CGS students Sidney, Ethan, and Victor, came out on top with the win.

Well still give Ms Love a commendation for her commitment to the bit by seeking the help of ChatGPT to support her arguments.Image attachmentImage attachment+3Image attachment
